''Time management essentials for researchers'', one of Eva Lantsoght's many posts, is one of my favourites today. In her blog, she shared a concept to measure how much time we're working *really* takes. She tells us about before we start having realistic estimates of how much time we need to reserve for carrying out a task, we need to know how much time things take on our own. To learn to quantify our time in detail, She recommends we record our tasks and how much time we spend on time. Let us know spent an entire day working on something, we maybe only really worked 5 hours on it, and spent the rest of our time replying to emails or answering the phone. She also gives us some suggestions for the record our time by hand, by using an Excel spreadsheet, or, she's favourite, by using software like ManicTime.
