My Passions

For the Joy of Collecting

I like to collect old things, such as vintage digital electronic calculator, stamps, coins and paper money. Although I don't have many collections or even inherited from my relatives, I like the satisfaction associated with collecting.

To Learn and Understand about Different Cultures

Stamps are designed and manufactured by each country in order to receive mail from one place to another. Many collectors pursue this interest because they want to learn more about the priorities and values of other countries and cultures. These collectors specialize in obtaining international stamps.

For the Price Value

More importantly, collecting stamps can be a profitable adventure. Many enthusiasts today are willing to pay high prices for rare or extremely old stamps. Some were sold for thousands of dollars at famous auctions. This is a valid reason why some people like this hobby. This is a wise investment with great prospects for returns.

''Time management essentials for researchers'', one of Eva Lantsoght's many posts, is one of my favourites today. In her blog, she shared a concept to measure how much time we're working *really* takes. She tells us about before we start having realistic estimates of how much time we need to reserve for carrying out a task, we need to know how much time things take on our own. To learn to quantify our time in detail, She recommends we record our tasks and how much time we spend on time. Let us know spent an entire day working on something, we maybe only really worked 5 hours on it, and spent the rest of our time replying to emails or answering the phone. She also gives us some suggestions for the record our time by hand, by using an Excel spreadsheet, or, she's favourite, by using software like ManicTime.
